We all know that investing in your next ride can be an expensive one that you don't want to get wrong. Because of this we have on site demo bikes in both Ambleside and Ings that you can take out for a day if you are looking to try before you invest.
At the moment we have the following bikes in the fleet:
- Santa Cruz Megatower L and XL
- Santa Cruz Bronson M, L and XL
- Hope HB160 L
- Hope HB130 M, L and XL
- Orange Switch 6 M and L
- Forbidden Druid M, L and XL
- Specialized Turbo Levo M and L (Ings)
- Specialized Levo SL M, L, XL (Ings)
All these bikes MUST be booked in advance and generally we need 2 weeks notice as they go out on a regular basis.
The demo charge is £100 and is from 9:30am to 4:30pm on one day. The bikes cannot be away from us overnight and they must be collected and returned to our Ambleside or Ings store. There's plenty of exceptional riding to put a bike through it's paces from the doorstep so if you need routes or a guide (additional charge) then we can sort that too.
We also take a refundable £1000 deposit from you against safe return of the bike, and there's a form to fill in too. Photo ID and a debit or credit card MUST be left with us whilst you're out on the bike.
Upon safe return of the bike we refund your £1000, and if you subsequently buy any bike off us within 3 months of the demo then we will refund the £100 demo fee too.
If you're looking to try something that's not on our list then we can sometimes source it from our suppliers demo fleet but that is not a given. Just give us an email and we will see what we can source from Santa Cruz, Juliana, Orange, Orbea or Specialized.
Please note that none of our brands have demo hardtails so we cannot fulfill any requests for those.
If you have any questions about demo bikes or would like to book one out then give Ambleside a call on 015394 31245 or email us at email@example.com.
All our bikes are professionally set up for you by our service centre mechanics Sam, Jack and Pete so you will get the best ride possible from the bike you are trying.
