The Contract between you (the customer) and us (Biketreks Ltd)
Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between us (Biketreks Ltd) and you, (the customer), will take place when the goods have been paid for by you and dispatched by us. Any email, order confirmation or other electronic acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order does not constitute legal acceptance by Biketreks of your order.
Pricing and Descriptions
In the event that there are any errors regarding price or description, we reserve the right to notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed with the revised order at the correct price/description, or to cancel the order. In these circumstances, upon cancellation, your credit/debit card will be refunded in full.
The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Biketreks Online store. On occasions, the prices payable and promotions offered online may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in our Biketreks stores. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store price or promotion that differs from those online. Similarly, Biketreks stores are under no obligation to honour any online price or promotion that differs from the in-store price.
Special Offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded unless specifically advertised as available online.
All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.
All prices are shown in £ sterling and include V.A.T. where appropriate. We regret we are not able to offer VAT exclusive pricing for deliveries to the Channel Islands.
If an administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you accordingly. In these circumstances, it will be deemed that a contract has not been entered into and you will not be bound to continue with your purchase. You will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed at the correct price, however, should you choose not to do so, your monies will be refunded to your credit/debit card in full. The repayment of such monies paid to us will be the extent of our liability to you in the event of pricing errors.

Biketreks will confirm receipt of your order by sending an email to you, using the address you supplied when registering with our website. This email is only an acknowledgement and does not constitute legal acceptance by us of your order.
All orders placed on Biketreks Website are subject to stock availability and to the validation checks described below. Also please refer to the section above regarding incorrect prices. No contract will exist until payment has been received and goods have been dispatched. This will be deemed to be our acceptance of your order and to have been effectively communicated to you.
Please note that the only language in which the contract can be concluded is English. Biketreks will retain details of your order in our database and these details can be made available on request. Please contact Biketreks for more info.
We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards registered throughout the world.
Please ensure that the expiry date of your credit/debit card is after the anticipated dispatch date of your order. Payment will be debited from your account just before the dispatch of your goods, and if your payment card has expired, we will be unable to take payment and fulfill your order.
We regret that we are unable to accept payment by cheque, cash, Gift Vouchers, High Street Vouchers, Purchase Orders or any other form of payment other than credit or debit cards.
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, Biketreks will validate the name and address including postcode supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g. Electoral Roll data, Credit Reference Services). A third party (SagePay) will be instructed to complete these checks. By ordering from the www.bike-treks.co.uk website you consent to such checks being made. We may need to contact you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able to process and dispatch your order or we may be unable to accept your order. Any information given may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of the information. All information provided will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. These measures are taken as extra protection for you, to ensure your online shopping experience with us is as safe and secure as possible.
The Returning of Funds in case Delivery Cannot Be Met
With regards to payments that are authorised at the card holders end but cannot be met at our end through incorrect data displaying, it can take up to 7 working days to deposit the payments back into your account.
SagePay who authorise our payments act as a holding facility for the authorised monies and we choose whether to accept or abort the transaction.
In the unlikely event that we need to abort your transaction we are relying on the bank accepting the funds back from SagePay in a timely manner through the bank clearing system.
As this can take up to 7 working days to clear please do not attempt multiple times to purchase something if it is declined, and if you are in any doubt that the product is or isn't in stock please call us.
We understand that having £3000 pending back into your account over 7 days can be frustrating which is why we ask you to call us before ordering online if you cannot be without the "set aside" funds for that length of time.
The majority of card issuers cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, but some may limit your liability to £50. If you believe your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you should contact your card issuer without delay.
Delivery of Goods
We will only deliver goods to the card holders registered billing address, and we will only deliver goods subject to security checks through our payment partner SagePay. For deliveries to non UK addresses and certain remote UK locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery lead-time. This charge will be calculated on an individual basis using the registered billing address as a calculator for shipping costs, and the size and weight of the box needed to dispatch your good(s) within. This pricing will be discussed with you by our in store team. Goods can ONLY be delivered to the registered billing address.
Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, Hermes or by courier. A signature is required for all deliveries.
If your order contains more than one product the individual products may, on occasions, be sent on multiple dispatches at no extra charge.
The delivery charge is calculated on basket spend. When you add products to your shopping basket the appropriate charge will be added automatically. All delivery charges will be shown clearly throughout the checkout process.
We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. The delivery charge depends on the size, weight and delviery postcode of the product ordered and the delivery service option you choose. Where necessary we will contact you if we cannot fulfill your order based on the generic delivery costs. Please refer to the section above for how this will be dealt with.
Standard delivery of stocked items is typically within 5 working days. Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days. For those orders which are requested as priority shipping the delivery time is within 3 working days as we require workshop time to prepare bicycles and/or frame orders.
Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail, Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, Hermes or by courier. A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries. Goods delivered by courier should arrive between 8am and 8pm, however our couriers may attempt delivery outside these hours, up to 9pm Monday to Friday. All courier deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot.
Deliveries to non-Mainland UK, remote locations or Worldwide may take longer.
Please note that if your order is made up of a combination of items, deliveries may, on occasion be made separately.
Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery.
We reserve the right to alter or amend delivery times in exceptional circumstances.
We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. In the event that we fail to meet a specified delivery date you will have the option of either cancelling your order and receiving a full refund, or continuing with the order and accepting a refund of any additional delivery charge we have made.
Delivery times quoted above can vary depending on stock availability and delivery location.
After-sales Service and Guarantees
Where applicable, details of manufacturers' guarantees or service arrangements will be provided with the product. After sales service and warranty/guarantee claims will initially be dealt with by us at Biketreks Ltd.
Restrictions on Ordering and Delivery
We can only accept orders from holders of credit or debit cards who pass the stringent checks that our payment partner SagePay authorise.
We can deliver to most addresses in the UK and Worldwide. All goods are subject to availability.
Where a person attempts to buy goods where minimum age limits apply, the contract will be deemed void where the individual is below the required age limit.
Complaints and Queries
If you are not happy with any aspect of our online service, discover a fault with our website, or if you have any queries or comments relating to an order placed online, please contact us at email@example.com and we will do everything we can to help you.
Your access to the Biketreks website may occasionally be restricted to allow for the introduction of new products or features, site development, maintenance or repairs. We will attempt to restore the service as soon as we reasonably can.
If you decide that you do not want any item that we have delivered, we are happy to offer you an exchange or refund within 14 days of delivery, provided that it is returned to us in its original and unused condition (including in its original packaging), along with the wrapping and delivery note (as proof of purchase).
DVD's, memory cards and software can only be exchanged if faulty or if returned unused with the original seal and wrapping intact. Personalised products and made-to-order products cannot be returned unless faulty.
In terms of bicycles or custom products if we have made any personalised changes to the bicycle, or any part of it that differs from the manufactures orignal specification such as a change of stem length, then we are not able to accept the product as a return unless it is faulty.
Methods of return are as follows:
1) To our Stores.
The easiest and quickest way to return your item or items is to take them to our Ings or Ambleside Stores for a replacement or refund along with your copy invoice as proof of purchase.
2) By post (if the item has been posted to you)
To return an item by post you must firstly contact Biketreks. We will issue a Returns Authorisation which must accompany the goods being returned. Items returned without a Returns Authorisation cannot be accepted.
Let us know which item(s) you wish to return, and the details of any fault, along with your customer order number and we will send you an email containing a returns note. When you receive this email, simply print out the returns note and place it in your parcel with the item(s) you wish to return. Please package your item(s) securely, returning in the original outer packaging where possible. All items returned by post (unless faulty) are returned at your cost. You are advised to obtain a certificate of posting (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post. If you post your item(s) back to us, we will endeavor to send you a replacement or refund your payment within 14 days, providing your Returns Authorisation is included with the items returned.
3) Collection by Biketreks (larger items delivered to you by courier)
Depending on the size and weight of the item you wish to return, it may be necessary for Biketreks to collect your goods from you and we may charge you for collecting the goods if they are not faulty. We will inform you if collection is necessary when you contact us about your return.
To arrange for an item to be collected by Biketreks, you must firstly contact Biketreks. We will issue a Returns Authorisation, which must accompany the goods being returned. Items returned without a Returns Authorisation cannot be accepted.
If we collect your item(s), we will endeavor to send you a replacement or refund your payment within 14 days, providing your Returns Authorisation is included with the items returned.
For faulty items, we will, upon receipt of the product, examine it or we may have to return it to the manufacturer for examination. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 14 days, providing your Returns Authorisation is included with the items returned.
Promotional items: When returning items that were purchased online as part of a ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ offer, 'Buy One, Get One Half Price' offer, '3 for 2' offer, all of the items involved in the offer must be returned.
When returning goods, if no fault is found we do not refund delivery charges and may charge for collecting the goods if they are not brought into our Ings or Ambleside stores.
We will endeavor to process returns within 14 working days of receipt.

We have used every effort to ensure that shopping on the Internet with Biketreks is as safe as purchasing by card in our regular Biketreks store. Our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information sent over the Internet. In processing your order, your information may have to be sent over the Internet more than once. At no point is your order information sent in this way without encryption.
Although we endeavor to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the complete security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing personal information and dealing online over the Internet and Biketreks cannot be held responsible for any breach of security unless it is due to our negligence.
