It’s widely known the Lake District has some of the best natural mountain bike trails in the world.
The Lake District, also known as the Lakes, is a mountainous region in North West England which has recently gained UNESCO World Heritage status for its stunning scenery.
Join us on one of our guided Lake District MTB adventure breaks.
Why ride in the Lake District?
The National Park is not only a stunning landscape of rugged mountains and beautiful lakes, it’s a mountain bikers paradise with endless natural technical trails that will always challenge you.
The Lake District has a dramatic mix of flowing trails that are truly intoxicating, winding their way through some of the highest mountains in Britain. The only limiting factors here are your imagination and your skill.
We can tailor your rides from family friendly adventures to high summit, rocky, technical singletrack. Either way you won’t be disappointed.
The views alone will stay with you forever. There are so many varied locations it would take you a lifetime to find them and that’s why we’re offering you a local friendly qualified guide.
We have British cycling qualified guides and skills coaches that know the Lakes better than anyone. All you have to do is turn up and let us take you to places you would never imagine.
We’ve been exploring this area for over 30 years now and enjoy nothing more than sharing them with our clients.
What else do you get on your trip to the Lake District?
We wouldn’t expect you to stay in a bunkhouse or a hostel, that’s why we’ve teamed up with our friends and fellow riders at the Langdale Hotel to give you the best experience on and off the bike.
The Langdale Hotel is situated in the most beautiful setting with the most incredible views and is a perfect base for our adventures.
The hotel is one of Lakeland’s finest with it’s own leisure facilities, secure bike lock up and laundry and drying facilities for all your gear. After a hard day in the mountains you can relax in luxury, eat fine local food, drink local ales and soothe your aching muscles.
There is also an option to upgrade to the Langdales opulent Brimstone rooms (doubles only) for an extra £150pp a night including spa.
There is a restaurant in the hotel or if you prefer some great local traditional pubs just a short walk away. The Britannia Inn & the Wainwright Inn both have some of the finest local food & ales. Meals and drinks ordered at the Wainwright Inn can be charged to your room too.
After a warm and comfortable nights sleep you’ll start the day with a full English breakfast in our Stove restaurant before making your way to the Biketreks shop in Ambleside for a coffee/tea and briefing with your guide. Here you can grab any last minute purchases or ask our highly trained mechanics in our workshop for any last minute tune ups.
We can arrange transport to and from the bike shop. We can also arrange to have you picked you up from Oxenholme station on the main line from London to Glasgow if you decide to come by train.
We can provide MTB or E Bike hire at Biketreks subject to availability - please ask when booking.
