So the world has gone mad....if you've not realised by now that the cycle industry has gone into melt down then you must be new to this crazy sport.
Bicycles, the parts to fix them, the shiny parts to upgrade them, and all the lovely clothing and protection you need to go with them are in short supply.
Basically unless you can see it in a shop at the moment then there will be a wait and this could be up to 12 months. In terms of bikes and frames, unless we have one on order with our supplier and it's not already pre-sold then we cannot get you one sadly.
All stock from every supplier has moved onto an allocation basis so each dealer just gets what a rep tells them and then that is all. Long gone are the days where we had a pick of Specialized Levo's or Santa Cruz Nomads.
We have now placed all our 2022 orders so we know what we've got coming so we can help you find a bike, but there's going to be a wait on anything I'm afraid.
Add to this the fact that workshops are all super busy at the moment, even if we have it in a box on site there will be a 4-6 week wait for workshop time to get that bike built for you.
As all of this is no-ones fault and cannot be fixed in anyway we would appreciate everyone's patience at the moment. No amount of shouting or bribery will speed up or fix this delay, everyone is doing their best.
In terms of products such as cassette's, rear mechs, tyres etc, our advice is look after it! Currently SRAM have a 450 day lead time and Shimano 900 days until some sort of normality is resumed. If you happen to knock off your X01 rear mech out riding you'll not get a new one until November 2022......!
Helmets, shoes, clothing, gloves etc are the same; unless we had the foresight to pre-order that item we cannot order it in for you in a different size or colour by large - there are some exceptions to this.
So with all this in mind we are asking you all to just bear with us and everyone in the cycle industry to be honest. We are all super busy and super stressed following a busy summer!
With the Lake District looking like it'll be even busier than normal this year, all we ask is for some patience, and we will get to you and your enquiry / problem.
