Covid-19 Information
Firstly we would like to say thank you to all our customers who have supported us during lockdown. We've struggled to keep up with demand over the last 3 months but one way or another we've got through it.
Moving forwards we are back open 6 days a week at our Ings store. We have now closed our Ambleside store on a permanent basis, and we have moved all the MTB bikes and stuff to Ings. In the middle of August we take over the running of Grizedale Forest hire and demo so we will shift some more bikes up there once the time comes.
At the moment we are low in stock on bikes so if you're after something specific please give us a ring before travelling as we might not have anything to show you. With the massive boom in cycling during lockdown all supply of bikes under £1500 is generally exhausted with lead times looking around Sept to February in some cases!!
If you're planning on visiting the store we have a full mask and hand sanitizing policy in place that we ask you to adhere to. Those without a mask will not be permitted in store I'm afraid (unless you are exempt on medical grounds).
Our workshop and clothing areas are the biggest effected by CV19. Anything that is tried on and not taken is subjected to a minimum of 24 hours quarantine off the shop floor so please only touch what is necessary. This includes all helmets, shoes ,gloves, clothing etc.
We are no longer offering same day servicing as all bikes that come in are subjected to 48 hours quarantine before our mechanics will look at or work on them. We are doing this to ensure their protection as no amount of cleaning can guarantee their safety. Due to this please factor it in if you are needing work doing - there are no exceptions to this rule, the welfare and safety of our staff is paramount.
We are also operating on reduced hours with a closure on a Wednesday so we can let the store quarantine itself midweek. We are open 10am to 4pm to allow us to cleaning down communal areas, fitting rooms and the workshop.
We thank you for your patience whilst we all adjust to the new normal.
