We’re very excited to announce that we have taken on another new brand at our Ambleside store – introducing the fantastic Polygon bikes! A lot of people will already familiar with Polygon, a brand who certainly aren’t afraid to push new boundaries in bike design and styling. We will be having two models in store – the dependable Siskiu and the ground braking Square One.

By Polygon’s standards, the Siskiu’s styling is relatively tame. Don’t let that fool you though, this bike is right on course with the current trend of 135mm 29ers, and comes at a great price point of £2500. Suspension is covered by an ever reliable horst-link backed up by a monarch shock, and a Rockshox revelation fork up front. A blend of Shimano SLX and XT components make up the 1x11 drivetrain, and a Tranz-X dropper is there to help you out on the steep stuff. We reckon at this price you can’t go wrong!

The big name on Polygon’s Rosta, however, is the Square One. This carbon fibre, 180mm travel 650b Enduro bike is certainly a head turner, but its esoteric suspension design is hugely effective. The Square one features a R3ACT suspension lay out which defies all expectations of how a 180mm trail bike should ride. Hidden inside its oversized swing arm is a sliding stanchion, which lets the bike’s length increase through its travel. The effect of this is to pretty much eliminate all the negative effects of a big travel bike, so no more pedal bob or brake jack!

The Square One is available for £6400 – on this you get Fox Factory suspension, an XO1 Eagle drivetrain, Guide RSC Brakes and E*13 TRS+ Wheels. The bike comes out of the box with 2.6” tyres as standard, so is ready and primed for Enduro racing. We already have a couple of Siskiu’s in our Ambleside store, and should be receiving our first Square One in the next few days so keep an eye on our social media for updates. For any more information about any of the bikes in the Polygon range then please get in touch or pop into our Ambleside store!
