Thursday May 24th Cartmel 7pm

Meet/park just along the road from the Pig and Whistle, opposite the school in Cartmel. Big thanks to Dave M, for organising the chips last week, after a great ride.

Thursday January 26th Blawith Church 7pm

Meet Blawith Church heading over newly rebuilt bridge over the Crake and up over heart attack hill, Satterthwaite etc.

After last weeks dismal turn out, give it a go and get some time in the saddle.

Always worth it once you get out!

Thursday Night Ride11th August

This week the ride will be leaving the White Hart at Bouth at 7pm so there’ll be the chance of a drink after the ride!  We look forward to seeing you.

This evening the ride will be leaving from the Derby Arms in Witherslack for a lovely summer evening blast with any luck! 

Thursday 23rd June Evening Ride

This week we will be leaving from the pub at Outgate at 6:30pm for a good blast around the local area.  We have kind permission to park in the pub car park so we will see you all there!

Thursday 5th August – Tarn Hows 7pm

Meet / park at the disabled carpark at the top of the hill if the weather’s great or main carpark if it’s crap. Special treat half way round as well as at the end of the ride!

Thursday July 29th Lowick Church 7pm

Meet/park at Lowick church hall, ride is Bessy bank, Parakamoor etc.

Thursday July 15th The Derby Arms Witherslack 7pm

Meet/park on the old A590, just 100m from the The Derby Arms. Richard always produces a good ride in this area. So looking forward to some more sunshine and a great ride.

Thursday July 1st Newby Bridge 7pm

Turn off the A590 at Newby Bridge, over the bridge, turn left and park. Dave Marshal is going to see if he can cycle more than 1/2 mile without ripping his rear mech off!

Also, don’t forget next week the ride is on FRIDAY NIGHT, from Torver, then a meal at the Church House Inn, then stay overnight at Tranearth Climbers hut. A ride on Saturday for anyone that wants it. Please let Andy know if you are coming so the pub can sort the meal numbers, thanks.

Thursday June 24th Blind Lane car park Force Forge Grizedale 7pm

Mid summer’s night, Dave Marshal’s delight. With over half the squad already in Morzine, and more leaving on Friday it could be a sparse ride. However, Dave has an interesting ride for those of us that enjoy probably the best off road conditions ever experienced in the UK.

Thursday June 17th Blacksmiths Arms Broughton Mills 7pm

Meet/park about 500m below the pub, near the telephone box. Probably the best conditions we will ever ride Broughton. Last shake down ride for the squad off to Morzine next Wednesday.

Thursday June 10th Bouth 7pm

Meet/park just South of the White Hart Inn, Bouth, which is just off the A590 between Haverthwaite and Greenodd. It’s back to one of the old time classic routes tonight.

Thursday May 27th Lowick Church 7pm

Meet/park near the church hall, Lowick. Turn off the Coniston road at the Red Lion pub, it’s about 1.5miles up the road. Half uphill Dave will be taking us on a guided tour of the bracken beds of lower Furness. Just enough rain to keep the dust down!

Thursday Eve Ride Derby Arms Witherslack 7pm

Meet/park/depart from the Derby Arms, just off the A590 at Witherslack, Rich is leading, usually a cracking route with a good mix of trails. Maybe park on the old road rather than fill up the pub car park. See you there!

Meet, park,depart from the Drunken Duck pub, approx 3 miles South of Ambleside.

Thursday May 6th, Blind Lane, Grizedale 7pm prompt

Meet at Blind Lane car park, Grizedale. Ride leaves at 7pm, lets hope the rain holds off for this evening!

Thurs Eve Ride April 29th Torver 7pm

Meet/park at the Church House Inn, Torver, ride leaves at 7pm. If the weather stays kind, then we will tackle Walna Scar, if the weather breaks then it will be lower level.

Great pub, and hopefully chips afterwards. See you there.

OK guys, tonights ride will start off from Blind Lane near Cleator at 7pm prompt! Should be a good one now that the sun has come out and it’s stopped snowing!

Thursday March 25th Prince of Wales Foxfield 7pm

Meet/park in the car park of the mini industrial estate near to the pub. It’s the classic flat start to warm up, then the big climb, after which we are predominantly downhill back to the pub. A cracking selection of falling down water and even a train home for those that follow Nicko’s advice.

Dont wear a skirt, get out and ride your bike

Thursday March 18th Mason’s Arms, Strawberry Bank 7pm

Meet/park at the Mason’s Arms pub, Strawberry bank, Nr Bowland Bridge. Rich is leading the charge, it is a varied ride, more interesting than you might think for this part of the woods.

Wonderful choice of Belgian and world beers at the pub afterwards, so worth earning a few beer points.

Not sure we can surpass Half Uphill Dave’s chip offering at the Pig and Whistle last week, no kitchen and he still came up with the goods. Good effort.

Thursday March 11th Cartmel 7pm

Meet / park outside the secondary school just along from the Pig and Whistle – it’s a better ride than you would expect from the middle of Cartmel! 1/2 uphill Dave has made a tenuous promise for chips at the pub (if he has finished the refit!!!)

Thursday Nov 12th Bouth 7pm

Meet/park just on the south side of Bouth village for a Dave Marshal special, cheers Dave...

The woods, the steep hill, the Dam, the infamous white posts, the boardwalks, and then Nigel! Not too far in distance, but enough to last a couple of hours, rain or shine we will be there.
