The Biketreks Crew

Meet the Team

And what a team! There’s someone to help everyone here, from the fashion advice of Keith, racing advice from Mike, Trail from everyone and “pimping” advice from Sarah. Not forgetting the beard growing allen key wielding expertise of the service centre. Keep reading and meet the people that make it happen. And we’ve even got some new boys to introduce; Colin, Will I Am and Kieren.

So without further ado……the Biketreks staff….!

Top Dog, Owner, ….errm boss – Andy

Andy has been ‘the man’ at Biketreks since he started the business back when Edison was arsing about with filaments and what not. He mostly sits in his office taking care of stock ordering and overseeing the day to day running of the empire. You could as easily write a history of Biketreks as a profile on Andy, the man is Biketreks, living breathing, grumbling….

The management…. Sarah

Self professed bike tart, Sarah is easily recognized around the shop due to.. well, being a girl! Currently the proud owner of a Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon called Bert she hates climbing hills as anyone in the shop will confirm which makes living in the Lakes an issue!  More concerned with how shiny something is than its functionality, if you want a pimped bike supporting the latest kit then Sarah is the person to talk to.

Colin

Likes: When the toast pops clear out of the toaster, the shininess and clickiness of karabiners, things that are anodized exciting colours, my caravan home lifestyle, fantasy novels, cooking popcorn with a glass lid so you can see it pop, hand written letters, and racing my bike around the roads and trails of Lakeland.

Dislikes: The idiots on Come Dine With Me, super wide handlebars, my caravan home lifestyle, aubergines, big white boxes that pretentious people call houses, iPads and other assorted electronic book reading devices, digital television, being skint and computer printers – why oh why do they never work when you want them too?!?!

William

Will brings much needed know-how and design to the team, taking crazy half imagined ideas and using a bewildering array of software and a super fancy camera to make them real.  He’s a dedicated commuter and has kept at it despite the often horrendous conditions and the odd sounds emanating from somewhere on his Cannondale.  You’ll instantly recognise Will as the “tall boy, well spoken and constantly clicking his fingers”!

The Boutique…. Keith

The unfaltering man that is Keith, he’ll sort you out with the absolute best kit for riding without a doubt. Within a few seconds of walking into the boutique he’ll have mentally dressed you in the right kit for the conditions so speak up if it’s kit for your hols! Keith never takes his eye off the happening city of London and the fashion scene. Always smelling of designer fragrance  (with a hint of onion…) Keith is the man in the know!

Mike

The racing snake, fast as you like when the trail goes upwards. Riding with mike is like walking an excided collie. He sets off up trail, gets out in front then rides back to you to see what’s taking so long. Mike is in the process of procuring a shiny new bicycle, at which point rumour has it that he’s gonna strip it down and rebuild it almost identically… strange boy.

Piotr, Master of Admin

What does Piotr do? Looks big and scary, that’s all you need to know! Piotr controls things in the background, ranging from booking parts and bikes in to chasing up cyclescheme..
