Here at Biketreks we know a thing or two about bikes, and we know more than most when it comes to building the bike of your dreams.  We have built everything from custom Orange mountain bikes, to custom Santa Cruz’s, to some of the most stunning and mechanically intricate road bikes out there.

With our many many years of experience we are here to turn your dreams into reality and to help along the way with speccing your dream machine and making sure it all works as you would expect.  So whether you are in the planning stages of your build, have a partner who you want to treat to something unique, or simply have cash to burn and want to stand out, then we are here to help.

We offer a free custom build consultancy and estimate that looks at what you want to achieve from your bike and where you ride and then fits all the components around that desire.  After all it is no good having a dream of fitting a Blur LT Carbon with full spangly kit only to find it won’t fit!  On average it takes 3 hours to custom build your bike down to every fine detail that makes a bike not just a bike, but a hand built Biketreks bike, which is a bike we are proud to put our name on!

Here are just a few of the examples of the custom builds we have done recently:

Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon.

This wonderful piece of engineering belongs to Sarah, Biketreks manager, who is obsessed with anything shiny, and is a clean, neat and tidy rider who struggled on the climbs until Bert, the beloved Blur came along!  With full SRAM XX, Fox 32 Talas 150mm RLC with Kashima coating, Formula R1 brakes with all the upgrades, and Thomson Masterpiece finishing kit, Bert turns everyone’s head as he whizzes by.  Gentlemen the bar has been raised with this one!

Scott CR1 SL.

Not content with a Scott CR1 SL in it’s standard form, Biketreks owner Andy, has kitted his Scott CR1 SL with full Shimano Di2 electronic shifting and as produced a demon of a bike!  Not caring whether something is shiny or not (unlike our Sarah) Andy is a man of form and function, and won’t use it unless it will work without any faffing around, which meant Di2 and him were suited straight away!  With its super compliant SDS technology, the Di2 has added a level of ease to riding the bike many thought wouldn’t be achievable.  Cable routing proved complex but we got there in the end to show case a stunning piece of bicycle engineering.  Behold…

Santa Cruz Butcher.

Long standing customer Iain Scott had a dream.  That dream involved a green Santa Cruz Butcher and more gold Hope kit then you thought it possible to get on a bike!  Well here is that dream…  Never going un-noticed Iain rides fast and he rides hard, giving the Butcher the beating it was designed to handle.  Incredibly reliable and certainly one to stand out from the crowd, this bike took around 4 hours to custom build and he’s not finished yet – a gold Chris King headset is next on the list!

Orange Alpine 160.

Over the years we have built many many Orange’s and in that time there have been a few stand out bikes amongst them.  Some have been crazy coloured, some have been more tricked out than you thought possible and here are just a sample of the many Alpine’s we have created…
