Look good, don’t they? FiveTen’s new do-it-all shoe might just be their smartest looking trainer to date, so it’s a bonus that they’re probably their most versatile too. The intention of the District range is to provide a shoe that can be worn all day, for a variety of different riding. It’s comfortable enough to use as a commuting shoe, grippy enough for a dirt jump shoe and sturdy enough that it could even be used as a trail shoe. Not bad considering they’re also £15 cheaper than a pair of Freeriders!

Five Ten have used their Marathon rubber on the sole of the district. The unique properties of this rubber lend to the district’s versatility. The sole isn’t as grippy as that of an Impact or a Freerider, so is a much better suited to every day use. The less grippy sole also helps to establish the district as a formidable dirt jump or BMX shoe, where you don’t necessarily want to feel glued to the pedals. The flexibility of the sole means that the district is comfortable enough to walk around in, so you could even use it as a commuting shoe.

Other features, such as the reflective heel strip, lace holding band and cushioned tongue, add even more practicality to the shoe. in fact, the closer you look at this shoe, the more you realise it’s potential as a year round, do anything shoe!
