As some of you may know I’m heading off to the Alps shortly to take on a few big passes on my faithful Niner RLT and as such I wanted some funky new outfits to go away with.  Having wondered around our Ings store nothing quite fulfilled my brief of funky, bright, different, and not full on race cut (Void is available if you want this!).  This desire sent me on a path that ultimately ended with me at the door of Chapeau.

The Devon based company started producing clothing in 2013 and has gone from strength to strength now producing a summer and a winter range across a variety of products from hats to socks, bibs to jerseys, for both men and women.

Their philosophy is simple – get out and ride your bike anywhere, anytime in anything that puts a smile on your face.  They were tired of seeing garish, loud, massively technical gear at the associated pricing, putting many people who cycle just for the sheer joy of it off the discipline.  Chapeau therefore created a range of nice looking, sufficiently technical clothing for those who don’t want to spend £120 on a jersey, or aren’t looking to replicate the Pro Peloton look!

With subtle hues, plenty of spots and stripes for the ladies and “waves” for the gents the jerseys are flattering, cut on the larger size for us normal riders, and are priced from £50.  We have a large selection of sizes and designs in our Ings store and you can team them up with matching socks and caps should you desire.

Moving forwards into Autumn we will be stocking their merino jerseys and Roubaix lined jerseys for both men and women, so why not come and check out something a little bit different in our Ings store as Keith is excited to get you in this new addition Chapeau.
